- Scholastic Order- Monday
- French worksheets- tmrw
- Practice identifying prisms and pyramids at home with objects
For example, is a cereal box a prism or a pyramid? Is a tissue box a prism/pyramid?
Parents, if you have the following materials at home, please help your child construct 3D shapes! We made some 3D shapes today in class using marshmallows and toothpicks.
(clay, playdough, mini marshmallows, and toothpicks)
Examples of 3D shapes:
pyramids with a triangle, square, pentagon base
cube, triangular prisms, pentagonal prism, hexagonal prism
Ask questions about the # of faces, edges and vertices! We learned that there’s a pattern in figuring out the # of vertices and edges on pyramids and prisms based on the # of sides!
We will be doing a lot more review in class as well. 🙂
