Thank You!!!

Dear 3W Families,

Thank you for the “Words of Wisdom” booklet and the beautiful scrapbook. I spent Monday afternoon in tears and laughter as I was reading the advice from the children. That is probably the best wedding present ever!!!!! On the weekend, I was also having mixed emotions as I went through the photos and messages in the scrapbook.  Although I’m excited to start summer, I know I will miss the children a lot.  They are really a sweet bunch and probably the most well behaved class I’ve ever taught in my teaching career.

Thank you for confidently entrusting your child to my care in September.   To be honest I was quite nervous in September, not knowing what to expect.  However, after the first couple of weeks, I came to the realization that some of these children are one of the most caring, responsible and loving 8 and 9 year olds I’ve ever met in my life.

As I went through the scrapbook on the weekend, I could not believe how much they’ve grown since September.  Many of them are now a few pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, even more responsible, and more mature than when they were in September.  Although the children would have attained their growth in spite of me, it has been my pleasure and privilege to watch their personalities unfold day by day.  These children have been so energetic and each one of them unique.

Yesterday morning during prayer time, Wesley asked me whether I would want to go back in time and teach them all over again and my answer is a definite YES.  I absolutely love them as a group and we had so much fun together this year. A part of me is actually wishing this could go on indefinitely or teach them for another year, but I know we all need to move on and continue to grow.  I will be giving the children back to you reluctantly on tomorrow. For having spent nine months together in the narrow confines of a crowded 3W classroom, we have grown close, have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little of each other.  We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year.

Your children are precious, lovely and intelligent.  They work so well together they are all blessings from God.  Thank you, parents, for all your support. I have one of the most amazing group of parents this year. I wouldn’t have survived this year without you all!

Please remember that I shall always be interested in your children and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever they become.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will always have a very special place in my heart Grade Threes!

Have a lovely summer 3W, whether you are visiting abroad, camping or staying local!  Please don’t forget to visit me next year. My door is always open.

Warm Regards,

Miss Wong
