Salmon n’ Bannock Field Trip

This year the students learned about Aboriginal communities in BC.  They created their own Coast Salish menus and to finish off this unit we visited the only traditional First Nations restaurant in Vancouver: Salmon n’ Bannock.  We enjoyed a lovely meal made from traditional ingredients.  Thelma, an elder of the Musqueam nation, shared  stories and her life experiences.  It was a wonderful afternoon.  A big thank you to the mothers who helped with transportation that day!
