After months of practicing, the day has finally come. I am please to announce that 1D was awarded a GOLD ranking for their Speech Arts performance today! To celebrate, we will be having a class party on Thursday, March 9th. Please have your child bring something to share with the class.
Speech Arts
1D will be competing in the Archbishop Carney Speech Arts Festival tomorrow. It will be held at St. Francis Xavier School in the gym and we will be bringing down the class at 1:30 pm. Parents are invited to come watch and support us. Please make sure your child is dressed in full school uniform tomorrow.
1D Class Mass
The 1D class mass has been postponed until Friday, March 31st. Students that were given mass parts last time will have the opportunity to read a mass part at this mass.
Grade One Sunday Mass
The Grade One classes are asked to attend the Sunday mass on April 2nd. A notice was emailed out to parents from the office. If you have not already done so, please print and return the consent form so we know if your child will be attending. 1D and 1W students will have some opportunity to read a mass part for this mass.
Lenten Promises
Last week, we came up with lenten promises. Each student came up with their own promise. Please ask your child about the promise, and help him/her successfully keep it.
Mite Boxes
Mite Boxes were distributed last week. Money collected during this lenten season will help support our Seminarians. We will be collecting the mite boxes after Easter.
Casual for Covenant House
Wednesday, March 8th is casual day. Students may come to school dressed in casual clothes. We will be collecting a minimum of $3 donation for those participating. Proceeds will go to Covenant House. Please note that it is a PE day. Please make sure your child has his/her PE uniform under the casual clothes.
PTA Hot lunch and Concession
Just a reminder that PTA hot lunch is on Wednesday, March 8th (if you ordered). Concession will also be open on that day.
