SFX Chinese School 聖方濟中文學校
SFX Chinese School is provided by SFX Parish to inspire an interest in the Chinese language and culture for Grades K to 7. 聖方濟中文學校由聖方濟堂區設立，旨在啟發幼稚班至七年級學生對中文語言和文化的興趣。
At St. Francis Xavier Chinese School, all teachers instruct students in both traditional and simplified Chinese characters. From Kindergarten to Grade 7, teachers use Cantonese or English to support instruction, while EM1 to EM7 classes are primarily taught in English, focusing on Mandarin. The main textbook used is “Quan Xin Ban Mandarin”.
Class Schedule:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 3:45 PM – 5:00 PM
Wednesdays: 2:45 PM – 5:00 PM
Mandarin classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays, students review what they have learned or participate in arts and crafts or colouring activities, providing a relaxed and enjoyable environment that fosters creativity and hands-on skills.
To spark students’ interest and create an engaging classroom atmosphere, the curriculum also includes:
San Zi Jing, Di Zi Gui, finger rhymes, Tang poetry, children’s songs, festival stories, fables and idioms, music, and digital learning (E-Learning).
Through this rich and diverse approach, we not only enhance students’ language abilities but also pass on Chinese culture to the next generation in a lively and enjoyable way.

聖方濟中文學校的每位老師在教學中皆教授繁體字與簡體字。幼稚班至七年級的老師以粵語或英語輔助教學，EM1 至 EM7 年級則主要以英語講解，教授普通話。課程採用《全新版華語》作為主要教材。
上課時間：
每週一、二、四、五：下午 3:45 – 5:00
每週三：下午 2:45 – 5:00
普通話課程安排於每週一、二、四及五。週三則複習所學中文或進行手工及塗色活動，讓學生在輕鬆愉快的氛圍中學習中文，並培養創造力與動手能力。
為了激發學生對中文的興趣並活躍課堂氣氛，課程內容亦穿插：
三字經、弟子規、手指操、唐詩、兒歌、節慶故事、成語寓言故事、音樂及數位教學（E-Learning）。
透過這些豐富多元的教學方式，不僅提升學生的語文能力，更讓中華文化以生動有趣的方式傳承給下一代。
